Banaswadi, Bengaluru · Estd. 2018

Every maidan
starts with
showing up

A maidan is open ground, where anyone can turn up and play. We built a training floor on the same idea. Proper equipment, coaches on the floor, and room to work.

Who we are

Not a wellness brand.
A gym.

We are a neighbourhood gym on Dodda Banaswadi Main Road, and we have been here since 2018. No franchise playbook, no contract you need a lawyer to leave.

What we have is a floor that works: proper racks, real weight, space to move, and coaches who learn your name and your injuries. Some members come at six in the morning before a shift. Some come at nine at night after one. Both get the same room and the same attention.

The space

Training Space

Spacious training environment with premium equipment, modern facilities, and everything you need for focused strength, cardio, and functional training.

The floor

What's in here

Equipment chosen because it gets used, not because it photographs well.

01

Lifting platforms & racks

Power racks, competition bars, bumper plates and platforms you can drop on. Enough stations that peak hour does not turn into a queue.

02

Free weights to heavy

Dumbbells running deep into the heavy end, kettlebells, benches, cables and a dedicated pulling frame.

03

Turf & conditioning bay

Sled track, assault bikes, rowers, ropes and open turf for carries and sprints. We keep it clear of machines so it stays usable.

04

Bag ring

Heavy bags, speed bags and pad space for the boxing sessions and for anyone who wants ten quiet rounds on their own.

05

Recovery & changing

Stretch area with mats, rollers and bands. Clean changing rooms, showers and lockers. A gym you commute to has to work around a working day.

Why we opened
this place

Thirty seconds, no script. What Maidan was meant to be in 2018, and what it has turned into since, told by the person who signed the lease.

Joined with zero gym experience and was genuinely nervous. Someone walked me through every machine on day one and nobody made me feel out of place. Eight months later I am deadlifting more than I weigh.

The 6 AM crowd is the reason I keep the habit. Equipment is well maintained, the place is clean, and the coaches actually correct your form instead of scrolling on their phones.

I came back from a knee injury and they built my programme around it instead of telling me to rest. Careful, patient coaching. Worth every rupee.

Great floor and great people. Gets genuinely packed around 7 PM so I shifted to mornings, which solved it. Parking on the main road can be a hunt on weekends.

Tried three gyms around Banaswadi before this one. The difference is that here the coaches remember what you did last week and ask about it.

Coaching

The people on the floor

Full-time coaches, not a rota of freelancers. They are on the floor during open hours, and asking them a question costs nothing.

Questions

Can I try before I join?

Yes. Your first session is free, class or gym floor, no card needed. Call ahead on 077603 44646 so a coach is free to show you around.

I have never trained before. Is this the wrong gym?

No. A good share of our members started from nothing here. Everyone gets an induction that covers the floor, the machines and how to not hurt yourself in week one.

Do I need to book classes in advance?

Classes are capped, so booking is recommended for evening slots. Mornings you can usually walk in. Call or message us to hold a spot.

Is there a lock-in contract?

No. Memberships run month to month and you can stop at the end of any paid month. See memberships for what each tier includes.

What should I bring on the first visit?

Indoor shoes, a towel and water. Lockers are free to use while you train, but bring your own lock if you would rather.
